Last night was not the outcome we had hoped for, nor the outcome many voters in Oklahoma’s First District deserved. I believe voters should have been given the opportunity to choose from the candidates who actively campaigned for this seat. Jackson Lahmeyer’s decision to remain in the race ultimately affected that choice, and I believe he should have withdrawn earlier. Regardless, the election is over, and the people have spoken. I am incredibly grateful to everyone who stood with Team Butterfield throughout this campaign. Your support, encouragement, and hard work meant more than words can express. This campaign was about giving voters a voice and offering a different vision for Oklahoma’s future. While we came up short, I am thankful for the experience and for every person who believed in our message. Thank you again to everyone who supported this campaign. I remain hopeful for the future of Oklahoma and pray that our district is represented well in Washington, D.C.

Oklahoma grit isn't something that gets manufactured on the campaign trail. It's built over a lifetime of hard work, real decisions, and genuine accountability to the people around you. That's what OK-1 is sending to Washington.
